Jerome Point : "Really astonished by the Digico SD8"

Jerome Point, monitor engineer of Adamo, chose a Digico SD8 during the latest tour.

Jerome point: "I have seen the Digico SD8 for the first time during a demo. I was surprised of the functionalities and the possibilities. Afterwards I've tested the console on another event (Shake Shake Shake) and I was astonished again of his possibilities. It is just the best digital console there exists."

Jerome Point continues: "I was used to work with an analogue desk for Adamo because we need to adapt the mixes constantly. I've already worked on a lot of digital desks, but not one had the same easy workflow and analogue feel as the Digico SD8. It is the most convenient console to do this job."

The Digico SD8 has 60 Flexi Channels (mono or stereo and equivalent to 120 channels of DSP). For this tour of Adamo they've used 55 channels. Jerome point: "Due to the use of premixes, I needed more faders then channels. Every faderbank was full, therefore I like the fader banks and layers. It is very flexible and I can organize the console like the way I want."

Point ends:" During the mix of "Shake shake shake" I've also used multitrack recording via the RME MadiFace. I even used it for a virtual soundcheck which is really convenient." The SD8 has the additional ability to simultaneously record 56 channels direct to your favourite multitrack software or DAW.
