Glyph Technologies

Apex appointed as major reseller for Glyph Technologies in Belgium and Luxemburg

Glyph History & Service Policy
Glyph Technologies was founded in 1993 to be a bridge between the A/V production industry and the computer storage industry. Glyph has grown consistently over the years to become the dominant provider of data storage solutions to the U.S. and European digital audio recording and post production industries.
Through strategic developer relationships with A/V workstation manufacturers like Digidesign, Mark of The Unicorn and Tascam and with storage partners Seagate, IBM, Sony, and Pioneer, Glyph has developed the world's best production storage solutions.

Glyph was born with a customer service focus, addressing the needs of its coveted clients. The A/V production world is full of content creators and editors providing audio and film entertainment, training materials and broadcast programming as their core businesses. Down time means lost revenues, especially in this market. Oddly enough, most of the companies that claimed they were servicing these niche markets were in fact just large hardware vendors with antiquated service policies based on the commoditized and gigantic general computer market.
Glyph has instituted some very powerful service policies that are 'standard' with the purchase of Glyph products.

Since hard disk drives have been replacing analog tape in many studios, this primary storage medium is critical to the user's success. Glyph launched with 'Glyph 5 Year Warranties' on most SCSI hard disk drives where Glyph would warrant workmanship for 5 years, in house, and even in year 5, fix within 48 hours. In 1997, Glyph launched the Advance Replace program under which a SCSI hard disk drive that fails within the first year of its warranty would be advance replaced by 10:30 AM the next business day.
