Alfacam installs Riedel for new OB-vans
For the OB14 a 72x72 Artist-M mainframe was chosen with standard redundant power supplies.
The mainframe is equiped with a number of COAX client cards. Riedel offers the choice for both client cards with Coax and CAT-5 connections. Depending of the type of installation, the custommer can choose the type of client card.
Alfacam took fully adventage of the unique fiber-option for the Artist-M system. With the fiber interface you can easily interconnect severall Artist-frames together to become one big matrix. The fiber can transport up to 1024 audio channels up to 10km far. The fiber optic ring is a redundant network of 1000Mbit/s. Ideal for interconnecting OB-vans.
A total of 18 LED control-panels (E-series) were needed for this installation. All “E”-series controlpanels feature very bright, dimmable alphanumeric 8-digit LED displays, individual listen level controls and LED level indication for each talk key. Because 8-digit LED displays eat up a lot of space a special key with built-in LED display has been developed. These unique display keys are used on all “E”-series control and expansion panels resulting in an ultra-compact design. For the first time you are now getting a system which allows clear labeling of the destinations even in large installations and excellent readability under all lighting and temperature conditions.
For all wireless intercom, Alfacam opted for the Riedel RiFace system, offering a smooth integration of Radio-systems with the Artist-M Matrix and control panels.
