AVT presents their brand new Telephone Hybrid TH6 at the Prolight&Sound
GeneralMAGIC TH6 incorporates 6 x POTS line interfaces, 2 x analogue Audio interfaces and 4 x digital Audio channel interfaces (2 x AES3 physical interfaces). Therefore the hybrid allows an operation mode in which all 6 callers are available on separate Audio lines for the connection to the mixing console. MAGIC TH6 can be controlled and configured via a Windows PC Software. In addition to 6 x GPIO contacts, 4 x relays and 2 x RS232 interfaces can be used for system operation. With a connected MAGIC TH6 keypad an external control can be realized. Audio lines can be assigned for PRETALK, HOLD and ON AIR. 2 x handsets (headsets) can be connected to the rear side of the unit in order to realise 2 different PRETALK locations. MAGIC TH6 can also remotely be controlled via MAGIC TH6 LAN and MAGIC TH6 Screener Software.
Functionality
MAGIC TH6 is a 6 caller line Telephone Hybrid with PRETALK, HOLD and ON AIR functions. Callers can be switched in PRETALK and ON AIR conferences. Also a HOLD signal can be configured that is either stored or external. Furthermore, the system allows call forwarding to other destinations.
Digital signal processing
A digital Echo Canceller, an AGC as well as an Expander are available separately for each POTS line.
Operation via PC with MAGIC TH6 Software
The PC is connected to the LAN interface of the MAGIC TH6 Telephone Hybrid. The MAGIC TH6 software provides a graphical user interface which visualizes the status of the callers and optimises the control of the system using a Touch Screen. Also the caller levels are indicated and can be adjusted. Incoming calls can be accepted by selecting the PRETALK, HOLD or ON AIR button. Screening information such as caller number or caller name are indicated.
Options
• Operation via MAGIC TH6 Keypad
The MAGIC TH6 Keypad allows complete operation of the system without a PC. The keypad supports all 6 caller lines. Calling numbers can be entered and the Quick Dial numbers as well as the telephone book of the system are available. A further control opportunity is to use a second MAGIC TH6 Keypad for operating the Hybrid. Keypad and Handset provide comfortable telephone functions.
• Operation via MAGIC TH6 LAN Software
For remote control a MAGIC TH6 LAN software can be used. The Software can be installed on any PC which is connected to the LAN. The MAGIC TH6 LAN software communicates via TCP/ IP protocol with the MAGIC TH6 software and provides the same control capabilities as the MAGIC TH6 software.
• Operation via MAGIC TH6 Screener Software
MAGIC TH6 Screener software allows in conjunction with the MAGIC TH6 software a comfortable screening and management of all callers together with remote control of the MAGIC TH6 Hybrid. The caller information is stored in a common database which can be accessed by all software applications.
