Riedel Intercom theatre application
In this application we explain you how easy it is to combine a license-free wireless intercom system, Riedel Acrobat, with a wired intercom system, for example a Riedel DPL. In every Riedel intercom solution all the audio signals are high quality digital audio.
Let's say we need 4 groups e.g.: Light, Sound, Stage and All. Each Riedel partyline has 2 channels A & B, so actually we just need two lines to cover 4 groups. In the central C44+ we configure the groups with a matrix. We configure 1A as Sound, 1B as Light, 2A as Stage and the 2B as All. The biggest advantage is that we can configure groups trough the whole system whether it is wireless (Acrobat) or wired ( DPL). Now the producer can speak to every group and the users just can speak to members of their own group. For the sound engineers Riedel designed the C31i with which we can provide an indication of a "call" via a selectable high volume buzzer and a large flashing lamp.
The DPL Series provides the world's first digital partyline intercom system. In addition to pure partyline applications the C44+ system interface makes the DPL series the first fully integrated ‘digital' solution for combined digital matrix and partyline intercom.
The C44plus System Interface seamlessly integrates digital partylines in matrix intercom environments and can also serve as a stand-alone matrix for small applications. The plus-version features a USB-port on the front to connect a PC to configure the internal 24x24 matrix via the new Performer Audio Assignment Software.
Riedel's Acrobat Digital Wireless Intercom solution utilises the benefits of the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) standard's base layer. This provides a license-free, cellular architecture with seamless hand-over between cells, allowing each Acrobat Wireless Beltpack to continuously monitor and automatically select the best connection to the Acrobat Cell Controller. Utilising the DECT platform, Riedel has advanced the technology to deliver a highly flexible wireless intercom solution that really reflects the market's needs.
